Ultimaker S5 Pro Bundle performs unattended 3D printing

Ultimaker has unveiled the S5 Pro Bundle, which comprises the S5 3D printer, S5 Air Manager, and S5 Material Station. With its automated material management, the system can be left unattended 24/7.

The printer offers a large build volume and intuitive touch interface. The Air Manager’s closed, inside-out airflow helps create a better-controlled environment inside the printer and filters out up to 95 percent of all ultrafine particles created while printing. This enables the printer to handle a variety of materials and creates a physical barrier that stops anyone from touching hot or moving parts

The Material Station lets users load filament spools—including glass and carbon fiber composites—in six bays that have abrasive-resistant prefeeders. Material can be uploaded at the front of the printer in seconds, says the company.
