Hurricane Florence was not Barnes MetalCrafters’ Nick Martin’s first experience with a natural disaster. Two years ago Hurricane Matthew kept the North Carolina-based shop closed for several days. Last year the company saw a windfall of work from Hurricanes Harvey and Irma. However, Florence was the first to impact his family and home in New Bern. He has a newfound understanding of how these events affect a shop beyond business.
