Dutchman

Definitions

  1. A term used in the Northeast U.S. referring to a way of mounting roofing metal when fasteners are not supposed to be seen. Depending on the application, the metal is approximately 2 in. wide by 6 in. long and is nailed before the finished piece of metal is installed. The Dutchman will be bent up to hold the face of the finished metal.
