Supplier of 3D printing materials and hardware hires chief marketer

Dara Treseder is the new chief marketing officer at Carbon.

Carbon, a Silicon Valley digital-manufacturing company, named Dara Treseder the first chief marketing officer in the company’s five-year history. She comes to Carbon from General Electric, where she held the same position at GE Ventures and GE Business Innovations.

“The entire team joins me in welcoming Dara to Carbon,” said Dr. Joseph DeSimone, Carbon’s CEO and co-founder. “Dara joins us at a critical time in Carbon’s journey, as we push the boundaries of technology and execute our strategy to create a new standard for digital manufacturing across the globe.”

Carbon, Redwood City, Calif., also was in the news about a month ago when it reduced the prices of its most widely used resins to $50 per liter, if purchased in bulk volumes. The $50-per-liter resin pricing fulfills Carbon’s 2017 promise of offering certain resins for less than $100 per liter.
