Partsmaster supports welding program for Georgia inmates

Representatives of Dallas-based MRO products supplier Partsmaster, a division of NCH Corp., recently attended a ribbon-cutting ceremony and dedication of the state-funded rehabilitation and welding program benefiting the Jackson County Correctional Institution.

The welding program will be led by professors from Lanier Technical College and will give qualifying inmates the opportunity to learn a trade with the hopes of securing employment in the welding industry. This program will provide inmates with the tools and skills necessary for them to transition back into the community after their rehabilitation.

Partsmaster supplied hand tools, electric grinders, wire stick electrodes, welding helmets, cutoff wheels, welding gloves and jackets, carts, and safety equipment. It also provided safety training and industry knowledge that will help the inmates excel in the welding program.
