Epic Systems adds lead mechanical designer

Epic Systems Inc., St. Louis, a design, build, and integration firm providing modular process system fabrication and packaging line automation, has hired Sandy S. Nichols as lead mechanical designer. He is responsible for the complete design of process piping modules and general project support.

Nichols has nearly 20 years of manufacturing design experience, having worked in designer and leadership roles for Monsanto Enviro-Chem, Benham Eng. (SAIC), and The Material Works. He most recently was employed with Modular by Design as project manager/lead designer.

He is a graduate of Southwestern Illinois College with an associate's degree in applied science in drafting technology. He has continued his education in mechanical engineering at St. Louis Community College.
