The science of welding with Nate Bowman, aka Weld Scientist

Spray transfer, robots frying bacon, anti-spatter, correct weld machine settings, and more

During FABTECH 2021, I caught up with fellow welder-fabricator, Nate Bowman, who's widely known in the welding community as Weld Scientist, to nerd-out about spray transfer, robots frying bacon, a mutual distaste for anti-spatter, a love of correct weld settings, and more.

Bowman is the director of welding optimization and education at Central Welding Supply in Washington. He is a CWI, CWE and CWS, and an established social media welding influencer. During our discussion, Bowman explains how he openly offers up his knowledge of welding science to inspire others to take their welding careers to the next level. Desiring to be a resource and data guy for the industry, Bowman is working to make what he knows available to everyone.

Read learn more about Bowman and his Weld Scientist moniker in an in-depth interview with The WELDER Editor Amanda Carlson.

Also, be sure to watch my interview with Rush Kane, aka KaneKid, as we talk about his signature TIG welding machine.
