Kempower to produce EV charging stations in North Carolina

Kempower Corp. has announced it will establish an electric vehicle charging station

Finland-based Kempower Corp. has announced it will establish an electric vehicle charging station production facility in Durham County, N.C., creating about 300 jobs. The company will begin producing DC chargers compliant with the National Electric Vehicle Infrastructure Formula Program by the end of 2023, with a planned project investment of about $40 million during the next five years.

In the first phase, the company will scale up the local assembly to produce NEVI -compliant Kempower Power Units and Kempower Satellites.
