Mazak Optonics installs fiber laser cutting machine at Macon Fabrication

Mazak Optonics has installed its Optiplex 3015 NEO 7-kW laser cutting machine at Macon Fabrication’s facility in Chemainus, B.C. The system features variable-beam fiber laser technology for high-speed, high-quality cutting of a variety of materials, the manufacturer reports. Features include a nozzle changer, nozzle centering camera, and camera-assisted part nesting.

Macon Fabrication offers custom fabricating and machining, with capabilities including laser cutting, plasma cutting, waterjet cutting, bending, and sand blast painting.
