Van Industries to install high-speed fiber laser system

Van Industries Inc., Birdsboro, Pa., has received a state loan to purchase a new, high-speed fiber laser cutter to meet increased customer demand. The company reports the machine will allow it to expand production and improve productivity and efficiency.

Van Industries offers metal fabrication, welding, laser cutting, CNC precision engineering, powder and ceramic coatings, and abrasive cleaning services. The total project cost is nearly $1.6 million, and the company has committed to retain 25 current positions and create five full-time jobs within three years.
