MPIF announces winners of 2017 PM Design Excellence Awards

Metal Powder Industries Federation (MPIF), Princeton, N.J., has announced the winners in the 2017 Powder Metallurgy (PM) Design Excellence Awards competition. These component fabricators were recognized for using PM’s flexibility to push forward new concepts and process controls and demonstrate PM’s capabilities in component design.
The grand prize winners in each category are:
- Automotive - Transmission: GKN Sinter Metals, Auburn Hills, Mich.
- Automotive - Engine: Phillips-Medisize, Menomonie, Wis.
- Automotive - Chassis: GKN Sinter Metals.
- Aerospace/Military: Dynacast Portland, Wilsonville, Ore.
