Messer Cutting Systems acquires Flame Technologies

Messer Cutting Systems has announced its acquisition of Flame Technologies Inc., a manufacturer of oxyfuel welding, cutting, and heating products in Austin, Texas. The family-owned company has 48 employees.

Flame Tech will continue to operate as a stand-alone company with its own sales force and brand. Through the acquisition, Flame Tech will gain access to the Spectron family of gas control systems. The creation of shared infrastructure will allow for the adaptation of products to meet specific regional needs.
