DeWys Mfg. improves weld booths at Michigan facility

DeWys Mfg. Inc. has made improvements to the weld booths at its Marne, Mich., welding facility to increase capabilities and improve employee workspace. The new design allows for a more efficient product flow as part of the company’s lean culture and continuous improvement activities.

The new weld booths feature an open design, incandescent lighting,improved ventilation, UV-protected welding curtains, and direct access to the paint line. The company engineered cabinets that hold the welding power source,wire feeder, and operator supplies outside of the booth.

The company provides precision metal fabrication to such industries as commercial equipment, office furniture, and medical supply.
