East Coast Repair and Fabrication to expand in Virginia

Ship manufacturing and repair company East Coast Repair and Fabrication, based in Chesapeake, Va., has announced it will establish a new corporate and industrial campus in Newport News, Va.

Parent company S23 Holdings will invest $64.4 million in the new complex, including the acquisition of the waterfront property and rehabilitation of two piers. The facility, which will offer ship repair, fabrication, welding, blasting, and painting services, is expected to create 332 new jobs.
