Essex Industries acquires Stevens Mfg.

Essex Industries, a supplier to the aerospace and defense market, has acquired Milford, Conn.-based Stevens Mfg., a provider of precision-machined OEM parts and subassemblies to the rotorcraft market.

Essex Industries operates from facilities in St. Louis, Mo., and Huntington Beach, Calif., producing platform controls, aircraft components, and emergency breathing and liquid oxygen equipment. The acquisition supports its business strategy of further expanding its aerospace and defense product portfolio and allows for improved service for customers in the Northeast.

Stevens Mfg. continues to operate with the same name and location.
