Griffin Welding to add 30 jobs in Connecticut

The Hartford Business Journal has reported that Griffin Welding has purchased a 20,000-sq.-ft. building in Waterbury, Conn., with plans to increase its staff from 10 to 40.

The company, which repairs industrial equipment and fixtures and fabricates highway sign and signal components, is expanding from a 1,900-sq.-ft. shop in Newtown, Conn. The extra space will allow the company to produce bigger components, such as parts for bridges.
