John Deere expands product line at North Carolina campus

John Deere will invest about $70 million to build a new 380,000-sq.-ft. factory in Kernersville, N.C. Construction is scheduled to begin in late 2024.

The factory, which will produce 6- to 10-metric-ton excavators, is expected to add about 150 new jobs. Currently, about 600 salaried and production employees work at the Kernersville campus.
