Sciaky to provide multiple EBAM systems to U.S. parts supplier

Chicago-based Sciaky Inc., a subsidiary of Phillips Service Industries Inc. (PSI) and a provider of metal additive manufacturing (AM) systems, has reached an agreement to provide multiple Electron Beam Additive Manufacturing (EBAM®) systems to a U.S.-based metal 3-D printing parts supplier. The supplier will serve as a turnkey parts provider for such industries as aerospace, defense, automotive, and oil and gas.

These systems can produce parts from 8 in. to 19 ft. long. Deposition rates are 7 to 20 lbs. of metal per hour. Delivery of the first round of systems is scheduled for the Q4 2017.
