TriMet Group opens Kansas office

The TriMet Group, a St. Louis-based contract manufacturing and metrology company, has opened a new, 5,300-sq.-ft. facility in Wichita, Kan.

The shop floor houses two CNC 3-axis vertical Mazak milling machines, one CNC 4-axis horizontal Mazak milling machine, two 25-ton hydraulic presses, broaching and splining capabilities, and conventional milling and turning machines. It includes a new measurement laboratory featuring climate control and granite tables for metrology equipment. The company offers production services for any type of material, soft to hard, with accuracies up to 0.0002 in. on machined parts as large as 74 by 38 by 22 in.

The firm plans to add 60,000 sq. ft. to its industrial facility in two phases over the next three years.
