3D printing gantry system handles nearly unlimited building sizes

In-Vision gantry system

In-Vision has launched a gantry system for almost unlimited building size in polymer 3D printing. It comprises a precise portal and up to four high-power Helios X Light Engines scrolled over the image plane.

The basic system, 415 mm wide and equipped with two projectors, can be expanded to nearly 1 m and handles almost unlimited building area lengths. The alignment of the multiheads moving over the building area is managed live with sensor-based compensation.

Recently redesigned electronics enable dynamic curing while the projectors traverse the building area.
