Equispheres’ NExP-1 nonexplosible aluminum feedstock helps reduce 3D printing hazards

Equispheres Inc. has developed a nonexplosible aluminum alloy feedstock for additive manufacturing that helps reduce the hazards associated with day-to-day handling of materials for 3D printing.

The material, NExP-1, is designed for production printing of aluminum parts. It is dust-free and nonexplosible per ASTM E1226, Standard Test Method for Explosibility of Dust Clouds. The material also is noncombustible, per the UN Manual of Tests and Criteria, Part 3, Subsection 33.2.1. for flammable solids.
