Lantek’s Global Release 2019 incorporates 60 new features

Lantek has added new features to the 2019 version of its software, included in its Global Release 2019. The new features are designed to extract data generated in the daily operation of factories and use it to optimize the processes and enable knowledge-based decision-making. In the release, the company has included more than 60 new features focused on production management and the integral automation of technology.

The improvements include 40 general enhancements within Expert CAD/CAM 2D sheet metal cutting software, such as technology for managing the destruction of holes, skeletons, and remnants to assist the operator in the evacuation of finished parts. Automated processes also have been introduced to simplify work flow.

The company has increased part identification and traceability possibilities within its parts databases, so that parts can be marked with QR codes automatically and semiautomatically in addition to marking metal sheets and remnants. The cutting machine database also has been increased to include more than 1,200 models.
