Workpiece return conveyors permit one-person operation at one-sided edgebanding machines

Available from Stiles Machinery, LIGMATECH®'s two new workpiece return conveyors — ZHR 100 BOOMERANG® and ZHR 200 BOOMERANG — permit one-person operation at one-sided edgebanding machines. They are suitable for small to medium-sized companies looking to add productivity without adding personnel or compromising workplace safety, according to the manufacturer.
Each machine features a driven-roller conveyor that moves workpieces from right- or left-handed edgebanders, transferring them to the operator via a driven return conveyor running parallel to the edgebander. Adjustable upper-pressure elements handle part thicknesses from 0.47 to 1.97 in., and feeding speed is 26.25 to 82.02 FPM.
The ZHR 200 adds pneumatically lifting/sliding rails and a tilting/turning device for parts from 35.5 in. long and larger. The machine also can handle larger panels, up to 4 by 8 ft., banded on all four sides.
