Wilson Tool International® offers patented HP Accu-Lock® retainer inserts. According to the company, the retainer inserts can help eliminate the need for custom dies.

Designed for die builders and toolroom personnel to create, modify, and reuse special retainers, the insert eliminates the need for complicated jigs, inspection fixtures, and specialized knowledge to machine ball holes into the punch plate. Punches are held securely in place with a straight-line machined hole that can be created in-house and eliminates the ball hole.
