GripPack SLB from Signode offers battery-powered steel strapping

Signode Industrial Group has introduced what it says is the world’s first battery-powered combination tool for steel strapping, the GripPack SLB. The tool is designed without air hoses or compressors for improved portability and reduced noise. The user can tension, seal, and cut with a single button. The sealless joint eliminates the need for metal seals.

A quick-charge, 18-V lithium-ion battery provides long-lasting battery life. The GripPack mobile app uses Bluetooth ® technology to communicate with the tool and sends proactive maintenance reminders to the user. The application also monitors wear parts and can access cycle count and battery life status.
