Modified Grieve WTC686-500 walk-in oven preheats large steel dies

Grieve Corp. has developed No. 822, a 500-degree-F, electric walk-in oven used for preheating large steel dies at a customer’s facility. The unit is a modified version of the company’s standard model WTC686-500.

Workspace dimensions inside the unit are 72 by 96 by 78 in. A 6,000-CFM, 5-HP recirculating blower provides a combination airflow that sweeps around the work load and travels upward to a return duct, and 60 kW of power is installed in INCOLOY® alloy-sheathed tubular heating elements.

Features include an aluminized steel interior and exterior, double doors at each end, and a removable top-mounted heat chamber.
