Automator has introduced the VIS-P portable laser marker. It comes standard with IVO₄, 10-W, 20-W, 30-W, and 40-W laser source options. The laser marker can be used on metals, alloys, plastics, and anodized and painted surfaces.
With a laser beam that is accurate up to 3 ft., the unit can be used for marking large components. The air-cooled laser marker offers a marking area of 4.33 by 4.33 in. Alternative marking area sizes are optional. It comes with a galvometric head, laser source, electronics, external power supply, and multilingual Genius software.
Marking details such as serial numbers, straight line and arc text with full TIF capability, basic geometric figures, shift and date codes, bar codes, and 2-D/data matrix is a standard capability for complete traceability. Logos and pictures can be added to marking files by importing DXF, WMF, and PLT formats.
