Wireless monitoring, alerting system allows fast response times for manufacturing plants
- July 10, 2012
- Product Release
- Shop Management
Quick Talk™ RQT from Ritron Inc. is an industrial-grade radio transmitter with sensor inputs and voice recording storage that automatically alerts radio-equipped personnel when plant conditions change. This technology accepts inputs from up to four switches or sensors to monitor conditions so that when a change is detected, a prerecorded message alerts plant personnel to that specific sensor variance.
Virtually any sensor or switch input can be accommodated, allowing the unit to monitor conditions such as an emergency motion, liquid level, temperature, vibration, power interruption, door or window ajar, obstructions, and others found within manufacturing environments. The gasketed and sealed polycarbonate enclosure has built-in mounting flanges.
The radio can operate stand-alone on six AA batteries, or it can be powered externally by an optional 110-VAC adapter. It is available with a 2-W transmitter or a 120-MW transmitter.
