Amada Miyachi America Inc., Monrovia, Calif., a manufacturer of resistance welding, laser welding, marking, cutting, and micromachining equipment and systems, has announced the appointment of Stephen F. Shea as southern regional sales manager. He provides sales and technical support for all products in Arkansas, Kansas, Missouri, Florida, Alabama, Georgia, Mississippi, Nebraska, Oklahoma, North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, Louisiana, Tennessee, and Texas.

Before joining the company, Shea served as president of Shea Mfg. Solutions, an authorized representative of Amada Miyachi products and provider of contract engineering support in lean manufacturing implementation. A Six Sigma Black Belt, he has been responsible for high-volume production floor operations for more than 20 years.
