GTAW/SMAW units offer expanded weld output
- May 1, 2017
- Product Release
- Arc Welding
Miller Electric Mfg. Co. has introduced two GTAW/SMAW welding power sources that deliver up to 800 amps for applications such as pipe and tube fabrication, precision fabrication, pressure vessel fabrication, and exotic material fabrication.
The Dynasty® 800 is AC/DC GTAW- and SMAW-capable, rated for 1-in.-thick aluminum and steel. It replaces the previous Dynasty 700 model. The DC GTAW- and SMAW-capable Maxstar® 800 replaces the Maxstar 700 model and is rated up to 1-in.-thick steel.
Meter calibration on the new machines allows the digital meters to be accurately adjusted for certification. Standardized menus on the power sources also help reduce welding operator training time and labor costs.
The Cooler-On-Demand™ feature operates the machine’s auxiliary cooling system only when needed. The Pro-Set™ eliminates guesswork when setting weld parameters.
