Multiprocess welding machine offers pulsed GMAW capabilities
Miller Electric Mfg. Co. has introduced the XMT® 450 MPa multiprocess welding machine, rated at 450 amps at 100 percent duty cycle.
The inverter-based power source offers pulsed GMAW capabilities with up to 0.052- and 0.0625-in. wires when matched with 74 MPa Plus and AlumaFeed™ feeders and an XR-AlumaPro or XR-Pistol GMAW gun. The system automatically adjusts pulse parameters as the welder works to match the wire feed speed. This allows welding on thick or thin materials without changing multiple parameters.
Remote control capabilities are available with the company's new XMT WCC or wireless remote control products. The welding machine also is compatible with voltage-sensing wire feeders for GMAW and pulsed GMAW applications.
