Lightweight fume gun reduces weld fume exposure by 90 to 95 percent

RoboVent has released the Extractor™, a new fume gun that captures 90 to 95 percent of weld fumes at the source, in a package just slightly larger than a standard weld gun.
The unit integrates a welding gun with a source extraction system, so fumes are captured as soon as they are generated. It features a lightweight, maneuverable handle and a streamlined nozzle designed for visibility and control. The fume gun is paired with a dust collector to collect and filter toxic fumes generated by manual welding. It is intended for use in GMAW processes that employ shielding gases.
The conical suction head, welding tip, and gas outlet for the shielding gas promote visibility. A ball-and-socket joint between the torch and hoses helps improve maneuverability.
