PypeServer software standard on Lincoln’s Vernon Tool MPM pipe profilers

Lincoln Electric has announced that all newly sold Vernon Tool MPM pipe profilers come standard with PypeServer software. The company also supports the retrofit of existing Vernon machines with the software to update the machines with CAD import, part nesting, and advanced cutting capabilities.

The software integrates with a variety of CAD and building information model design tools so spools and parts can be sent directly to the machines and cut without the need for programming. The software’s part nesting capabilities provide the pipe profilers with the ability to cut multiple parts from a pipe in a single operation.

The software also incorporates algorithms that account for plasma beam kerf and shape, gas swirl, pipe thickness, and root gap to help reduce the need for grinding and filling before welding.
