Jacketed tube connector protects tubing
- May 8, 2013
- Product Release
- Tube and Pipe Fabrication
The new Swagelok® jacketed tube connector is engineered to connect jacketed tubing systems while protecting tubing from external degradation in corrosive environments. Designed to safeguard against environmental ingress in the chemical, petrochemical, oil, gas, and pulp industries, the connector provides a leaktight tube fitting connection between sections of single jacketed tubing, eliminating the need for sleeves and sealing tape.
The connector's patent-pending design employs an O-ring seal and an environmental jacket seal nut, providing a leaktight seal on the stainless steel core of the jacketed tubing and a watertight seal on the OD of the jacketed tubing.
The connector is available for use with 0.25-, 0.375-, and 0.5-in. jacketed tubing with up to 0.0625 in. nominal jacketed thickness. Operating temperatures are -67 to 180 degrees F.
