Protem and Serco equipment dedicated to high-purity field
- February 10, 2021
- Product Release
- Tube and Pipe Fabrication
In high-purity industries, liquids and gases are regarded as corrosive elements that severely test manufacturing systems. That is why most flanges, valves, and pipes are made of high-strength materials such as stainless steel, duplex, or INCONEL alloy. Protem and Serco offer several pipe end-preparation machines for these applications.
Protem’s new generation of SE60NG, SE90NG, SE120NG, and SE219NG machines performs tube beveling, squaring, cut to length, and counterboring. These operations can be managed simultaneously or individually. This equipment can machine diameters from 0.393 to 8.622 in., depending on the model. The toolholder plate can hold up to four tools simultaneously.
Serco offers the new-generation XP400NG and XP600NG machines for facing of flanges and valves. This equipment has a large radial stroke, and the parallel and concentric setups are independent. Once installed, they can be adjusted to a hundredth of a millimeter and can machine a surface finish quality between Ra 1.6 and Ra 12.7, depending on the application.
