Lincoln Electric joins Pipeline Research Council

The Lincoln Electric Co. has been admitted into the Pipeline Research Council Intl. (PRCI) as an associate member.

The company joins General Electric as one of only two nonindustry members admitted to the PRCI. PRCI's board of directors approved a new category of associate membership for nonpipeline operators in an effort to broaden the group's realm of expertise.

Arlington, Va.-based PRCI is a not-for-profit corporation comprising 35 energy pipeline companies. The companies represent 90 percent of the North American pipeline market and more than 70 percent of the world pipeline market.
