OMCO adds custom welded tube capability
Wickliffe, Ohio-based custom roll former OMCO has announced that it now has custom welded tube manufacturing capability. The company’s new 200-ft.-long mill is highly automated, permitting the manufacture of highly processed standard-shaped tubes and custom profiles to fit specific requirements.
The line incorporates a 330-ton prepunch press, a 3.5-in. rafted roll forming mill, and a 150-kW high-frequency welder with integrated eddy current monitor. Material thickness up to 0.250 in. can be accommodated.
The mill provides an alternative for customers needing nonstandard welded tubes and those who have been purchasing standard tube shapes and then modifying them with slots or holes.
