Sharpe Products adds fiber-optic tube laser capabilities

Sharpe Products, a contract manufacturer in New Berlin, Wis., providing tube bending services, has purchased a BLM fiber-optic tube laser. The addition of the laser complements the company’s already lean processes of using all-electric, CNC tube benders.

This 3,000-W tube laser can cut copper, brass, bronze, galvanized pipe, and aluminum in addition to steel and stainless steel. Capacity for this machine is up to 6-in.-OD round tube and up to 5-in. square tube. Aluminum can be cut up to 0.375 in. thick depending on the OD of the tube or pipe.
