Synalloy to close Bristol Fabrication
Spartanburg, S.C.-based Synalloy Corp., a producer of stainless steel pipe and steel storage tanks and fabricator of stainless and carbon piping systems, has announced plans to close the Bristol Fabrication unit of Synalloy Fabrication LLC. The closure is scheduled for June 27, 2014. It does not affect Ram-Fab LLC, its fabrication business in Crossett, Ark., or any of Synalloy's other operating units.
Bristol Fab lost $5.2 million from 2011 to 2013. The unit lost an additional $1.05 million in the first quarter of 2014.
