Rafter ships seam orientation unit

Strongsville, Ohio-based Rafter Equipment Corp. has shipped an RT-5500 seam orientation unit to a North American tube producer. The equipment will be added to the customer's existing tube sizing mill for the purpose of positioning the weld seam before reshaping the tube into squares and rectangles.

The unit is adjusted electrically and can be controlled remotely from a downstream position if desired.
