Monorail blast system delivers abrasive at 300 FPS

Viking Blast & Wash Systems has released the MR106-94 monorail blast system. The redesigned unit has a 106- by 94-in. blast zone.

Blast wheels are arranged to expose all work surfaces. The parts are presented to the eight 15-HP VK PowerMax 1500 direct-drive blast wheels with a customer-provided monorail conveyor. As parts pass through, the blast wheels deliver high-volume abrasive at 300 FPS.

The system can be fitted with a rotary scalping drum, auxiliary abrasive hoppers, blowoff systems, and peening packages. Blast wheel horsepower is 10 to 75 each.
