Metal Shop adds tube bending capacity
The Metal Shop LLC, Pleasant Prairie, Wis., has added more capacity to its tube bending capabilities with the installation of a new ITEC Starbend 1.5-in. tube bender.
The custom-built machine accepts tooling from an older machine. When tested, the bender produced a custom extrusion with eight bends in 47 sec., as compared to 1 min. 33 sec. with the previous hydraulic bender.
