Superior Tube Products adds 5-axis bender

Superior Tube Products Inc., Davenport, Iowa, an ESP International company that fabricates tubular parts and welded assemblies, has purchased a Criterion 5-axis twin-head bender. The machine produces two bends simultaneously and two tubes per cycle. It is suitable for high-speed manufacturing of symmetrical shapes, including handles, furniture, and frames of many varieties.

The bender has mobile heads. This feature, in addition to pin alignment, maintains the centering of each tube, helping to ensure bend location symmetry. It accepts round and square tube up to 1.25 in. OD in several types of materials.
