Thermatool delivers tube production equipment to L&R Industries

L&R Industries Inc. has installed a new mill in their mechanical steel tube division located in Mountain Grove, Mo. Part of that new line is a Thermatool 300-kW CFI high-frequency welder.

Thermatool, East Haven, Conn., has supplied equipment for a new mill in L&R Industries Inc.’s mechanical steel tube division in Mountain Grove, Mo.

The equipment includes a 300-kW CFI high-frequency welding machine and an Alpha Mach 2 high-speed flying shear cutoff. The cutoff incorporates a noncontact laser velocimeter that offers cut length accuracy of 1 mm or less. L&R also acquired the company’s ThermaView™ advanced diagnostic software package for control and feedback of the welding machine power settings.

Also part of the line is a Thermatool Alpha Mach 2 high-speed cutoff machine.
