Centric Pipe to expand in Louisiana
Centric Pipe LLC, an affiliate of SB Intl. Inc., Dallas, has announced plans to invest $32.5 million to renovate and expand the former Northwest Pipe facility in Bossier City, La. Centric Pipe purchased the facility in March 2014 and acquired the assets of Northwest Pipe’s OCTG business.
The project, which will add new equipment and a rail spur to the facility, will create 82 new direct jobs, as well as 209 new indirect jobs. The company will retain 52 existing employees at the site, and 34 construction jobs will be created.
The facility will manufacture and supply welded steel pipe and tubular products for domestic clients in the oil and gas industry. All improvements are expected to be completed by the end of 2017.
