Fives installs tube mill at PEASA
Fives has installed an OTO 606HQ tube mill at Productos Especializados de Acero (PEASA) in San Luis Potosi, Mexico. The mill produces cold-drawn tubes from high-yield material for applications in the automotive industry.
The machine can process round tubes with high yield strength (up to 900 MPa) and with a diameter-to-thickness ratio of 6. The heavy-duty cutoff uses either a cold saw or friction saw and features simple blade change.
