MST named finalist for Tube & Pipe Producer of the Year

South Lyon, Mich.-based MST Seamless Tube & Pipe, a manufacturer of carbon and alloy seamless cold-drawn tube and pipe, has been named an Awards for Steel Excellence finalist in the category of Tube & Pipe Producer of the Year by American Metal Market (AMM).

The awards honor large and small companies that have achieved excellence in the steel industry, world-class innovation, and best-in-class practices that lead to outstanding results.

In recent years MST has invested heavily in capital improvement projects, building a 10,000-sq.-ft. pickle house, installing a quench and temper line, and adding a 377-ft. atmosphere-controlled furnace. The firm also acquired the Blue Diamond trademark for A106 pressure pipe products and completed a cold pilger mill.
