Steel Tube Inc. announces expansion
Steel Tube Inc., Statesville, N.C., has announced plans to double its capacity to deliver steel tubing products to customers in the Southeast and Mid-Atlantic. The 32,000-sq.-ft. expansion is necessitated by the demand for UV- and corrosion-resistant mechanical and structural steel tubing.
The company will install a UV clear coating line for galvanized steel tubing, as well as a CNC sawing system with brush deburring capability. The firm plans to hire up to 20 additional employees.
Production of UV-resistant, galvanized steel tubing is slated for July 2015.
