Tenaris to scale up industrial activity at Texas plant

Tenaris, a manufacturer of steel pipes for the energy industry, has announced a $600,000 investment in IT and automation infrastructure at its Conroe, Texas, plant for tracking and traceability capabilities, as well as the addition of about 140 employees.

The company is adding crews to operate the heat-treatment and finishing areas of the facility. It will be bringing its Bay City, Texas, seamless mill to full capacity, and Conroe will support processing loads.
