Thermatool installs fourth HF welder at Fortacero

Fortacero S.A. de C.V., a 60-year steel distributor with 18 locations throughout Mexico, ventured into the tube and pipe manufacturing business six years ago by installing multiple mills to produce its own product. Since then, the company has selected Thermatool’s CFI high-frequency technology to help ensure high production speeds and process control.

Fortacero recently increased its output by commissioning a fourth mill, a twin 1.5- to 3.0-in. mill equipped with its fourth Thermatool CFI solid-state HF welder. Now the manufacturer serves the construction and industrial markets, as well as regional distributors throughout Mexico and the southern U.S.

Fortacero created a customer portal, known as FORTAweb, to provide customers ease of access for tube purchases and other resources. Similarly, Thermatool has released its Thermatool+ Customer Portal that offers online service and support for customers like Fortacero.
